This page explains where the money that sustains Cotejo Desk comes from, what the situation is today, and what effect it has — and what effect it does not have — on what we publish.

How the site is funded

Cotejo Desk may earn a commission when a reader follows a link to a reviewed platform and opens an account there. That commission is paid by the platform out of its own acquisition budget: for you the cost is exactly the same as if you had arrived on your own, with no surcharge, no different conditions and no additional price.

Current position: no commercial links today

There is no partner programme enrolled today, so no commercial link is live on the site at this moment. We prefer to say that explicitly rather than leave a generic disclosure that implies an arrangement which does not yet exist.

When that changes, two things change and nothing else. Commercial links will be marked as such wherever they appear, so that you can tell a link that earns us money from one that does not. And this page will be updated to describe the arrangement in force: the disclosure stays, it is not withdrawn.

What a commission does not buy

A commercial arrangement does not decide what a review says. We do not change a description, delete a limitation or soften a warning because a platform pays for the sign-ups that reach it.

The other side of that is that we publish no scores, stars, rankings or verdicts we cannot support. We do not test the platforms: we work from what the operator publishes on its own pages and in its official listings, quoted with the date on which we read it. A ranking would require a measurement we do not carry out, so we do not write one.

Risk

Trading these products involves significant risk and can result in the loss of the invested capital. There is no way to remove that risk or to offset it with a technique, a course or a demo account: the demo does not predict what happens with real money. Put in only money you are in a position to lose entirely.
